Problems with test scores reporting in an LMS

I've created a number of test modules, all starting with the same template in Captivate 7. All the modules have got a couple of quiz slides at the end of them.

I've been publishing the modules to zipfiles and then exporting them to my LMS. The weird thing is, some of the modules correctly display the test results in the LMS, but other modules just say N/A, even though I know the students have completed every step of the test.

The tests work fine when viewed in captivate.

What could be going wrong? Why does the reporting work in some modules and not in others, when the quiz preferences are set the same throughout?

Thanks for your help.

When you say that some modules display N/A, do you mean that on the Quiz Results slide they display NaN (means Not a Number)??

I just want to be sure I'm understanding you correctly.

Again, sorry to be unclear!

No, the course works fine when viewed within Captivate, and the quiz results can be viewed when you finish the quiz.

But when the course reports to my LMS, the quiz score shows as n/a, even though I know the student has taken the quiz and received a score within it.

The strange thing is that certain quizzes don’t have this problem, even though they have been created in the same way.

Hope you can help! I appreciate the fast responses.

Best wishes,

One thing to be careful of...Make sure your learners are completing the module properly by going PAST the Quiz Results slide.  Sometimes people get to the Quiz Results slide, see their scores and think they've finished, when in fact they need to click that Continue button on the quiz results slide and go to the next slide so that their scores are properly registered in the LMS.

Welcome,

I'm a bit puzzled by one of your sentences; 'publishing the modules to zipfiles '?

Did you create a SCO? Or did you just check 'zip files' when publishing?

Hi!

Thanks for the fast response and sorry to be unclear. I created a SCO file to publish to my LMS as a SCORM course.

Thanks again!
