Project End Options> Close Project Captivate 7

Previously I thought this was an Exit button issue, but I now think it's an issue with the Project End Option.

I have just published two identical courses - one using Captivate 6 and the other using Captivate 7. Each course has one slide with a single button - Finish Course set to On Success: Continue so that when the last slide plays to the end, it should trigger the Project End Options: Close Project event. In Preview mode, the browser window closes at the end of the course as expected, but once the courses are published to the LMS, the Cp 7 course window will not close.

I'm publishing both SWF and HTML5, and in both cases, the course developed in Cp 7 will not close the external window upon completing the course, and I've tested in both IE9 and iPad with the same results. Cp 6, however closes the external window upon completion of the course in both IE9 and iPad.

I have uploaded both courses to our LMS (Taleo). In the LMS we have a course link that opens a pop-up window with the SCORM course embedded. The course settings in the LMS are identical and are set to close the external pop-up window on completion. The course developed in Cp 6 closes the window at the end of the project. The course developed using Cp 7 does not.

Could someone please respond and let me know that it is being looked into?

Thanks,

PV

I was able to find a workaround to close the window in the SWF output course, but have not been able to resolve the issue for HTML5.

Instead of allowing the slide to continue to the end of the project and hope that the Project End Options: Close Project event would occur, I changed the function of the Finish Course button and created an On Success: javaScript using window.close() in the Script_Window.

I've tried this method before without success, but this time I selected Parent from the drop-down list. I then published to SWF and HTML5, uploaded the course to the LMS, and tested. The Finish Course button now closes the SWF course window, but it still does not work in HTML5. I'm still looking for a solution, so if anyone has any ideas, please reply!
