Project not displaying play bar with quiz

Captivate 9

I added a quiz to a project and the play bar has disappeared. When I remove the quiz, the play bar returns. Is this due to the type of quiz I selected or will the play bar not show forward/backward on projects with quizzes? I selected pre-test.

Also, when adding objects like click boxes, I noticed that the slider on the timeline to tell when to pause the project is no longer there. Is this new to captivate 9? Or am I missing a setting.

Thank you forum!

Pretest slides and /orBranch aware will disable navigation. That is the reason why you see the playbar disappearing in the project, because you inserted Pretest slides.

There are more limitations wihh Pretest slides; they all have to be together in the beginning of the file, and you cannot allow the user to return to those slides, reason wh the playbar disappears.

As for your second question, can you explain in detail what you mean? A click box will pause at the end of its timeline if you keep the default setup.

    Hey Lieve,

Thank you for answering. I hoped you would be around today.

As to the click boxes. I have a screen where I have two click boxes for the user to click on to reveal more information about two topics. I have each of the boxes set to Show a text box. I can get them to work if they are done in a particular order, but I want the learner to be able to choose which one they click first. If they click on box b first, box A is no longer active for them to click on.

Formerly, I thought I remembered there being a divider/slider where I could tell the project where to pause with the click box but still show after that pause. I hope that makes some sense.

Edit: Since writing this, I have figured out a solution.
