Project preview hangs

I'm nearing completion of my first learning module and the project preview has stopped working. When I go to preview the project it just hangs inside Chrome and I get the same result when publishing the project. I thought the issue may be related to file size so I went through my library and deleted any unneeded images but I still can't preview the project.

What can be done to bring the preview back? Is the only option to make the project shorter?

Deleting objects from the Library, that are not used in the project, doesn't help anything for the file size of the published (or temporary published during Preview) file. That is a common misunderstanding. How big is the published file?

How do you preview? Closest to final output is Preview in Browser or in HTML Browser. Did you try another browser? There were problems with Chrome (did you upgrade Chrome version lately?), which exact version number are you using?

Chrome (Version 44.0.2403.125 64-bit) is updated to the newest version. I've been using Chrome all along to preview but it seems after I got to a certain project size the preview stopped working. The total file size on the published project folder is only 6.2mb which doesn't seem right but also seems like it shouldn't not cause a problem with Chrome.

Is there a place inside Captivate I can see the projected project size?

Sounds like there may be something on one of your slides that is fouling up the preview or publish process.  Try hiding groups of slides and attempting to republish to see if you can isolate the location of the issue.

Thanks for the suggestion. The interesting thing is that it doesn't seem to matter how many slides I hide the preview will still not work however if I only preview 5 slides at a time it works.
