Projects on slideshare, scribd etc

Has anyone had any success with uploading Captivate PDF files to slideshare and the like?

PDF is a supported format on all of these types of publishing platforms but the PDFs that Captivate creates do not work i.e. the content doesn't play. Works fine in Acrobat reader but not slideshare, scribd, reel or authorstream. I wonder if there's a config option that I'm missing...

Thanks

If you're trying to test how your Captivate PDF files behave once uploaded, and want to check or download presentations already published on SlideShare or Scribd for comparison, you might find this tool useful: SlideShare PDF Downloader. It lets you download public SlideShare files easily — could help you troubleshoot compatibility

There is often some misunderstanding, because there is not one type of pdf. The pdf created by Captivate is not a static but an interactive pdf, which requires the Flash Player plug-in for Adobe Reader and can also have issues with Flash trusted locations. I suspect you are talking about static pdf's, which are sort of a digital print of a document.
