Question

Properties panel shortcuts

I'd like to have more control over the Properties panel and when it appears.

Is there a keyboard shortcut to Collapse/Expand the Properties panel? (I know about Ctrl-Shift-D, but that toggles through the open panels.)

Is there a way to prevent the Properties panel from expanding when double-clicking on an object? (Sometimes Properties gets in the way of the slide, especially when working on a smaller monitor or laptop.)

    Hi Jay,

I am not sure if this will help.

But can you undock your properties panel, and place it down after resizing, so that it does not cover up you slide area on being popped up, if that set up suits you, save your workspace.

    Thanks,

    Hi Anjaneai,

I know about saving workspaces. I was hoping that there was a shortcut key to show/hide the Properties panel. When I double-click on an object, like a text caption, because I want to edit the text, the Properties panel pops up and covers the text caption. Then I have to collapse the Properties panel before I can edit the text, and this is rather annoying.
