Publish as HTML5 animation without player controls?

Hi,

I'm new to Captivate 9, switching over from the Articulate side. I have a project I want to publish as an autoplaying/autorepeating HTML5 animation I can embed in a web page. I want no visible controls, framework or skin. Just an animation that begins to play when the web page opens and continues to repeat playing. Is this possible with Captivate?

Thanks in advance.

Chris

Found my answer from Captivate pro Joe Ganci. Under Themes > Skin Editor, uncheck Show Playback Control. Then click the Borders button in that dialog box and uncheck Show Borders. Voila, HTML animation sans Captivate skin.

    Thanks Joe!

Turning off the playbar is pretty easy (I never use the playbar myself, always create custom control buttons) but I read your question totally different: you'll have the big Play button (no autoplay) and how will you loop the animation? Maybe I should have asked for a screenshot when you talked about turning off play controls and having autoplay/autoloop?

I just set the last slide to return to the first slide upon exit so that they entire animation loops.

iSpring Converter Pro will do exactly what I want (publish to HTML5 sans player controls) but at $300 seems excessive for this particular need, especially if Captivate will do the same thing (which I'm sure it will...somehow).

I already published my project to HTML5 and it looks great and the file size is reasonable. I just need to figure out how to do it again without the player controls and with autoload and autorepeat.

Sure you want an animation? Why not publish as a video (mp4)  if it is a non-interactive output that you want?

I have published to mp4 video. The file size is far larger than the published HTML5 animation. Not to mention there is a distinct loss of quality in the video (unless I want to make the file size even larger and more impractical).

An HTML5 animation seems to be the way to go if I can package it the way I want for the web page.

I would never use Captivate for a simple HTML animation, is not the appropriate tool (I use Animate CC or Edge Animate in that case). HTML output is meant for interactive courses. Sorry, cannot help you in that case. Crossing my fingers that someone else pops in.
