Does anyone know if it is possible to publish a responsive project (created in Captivate 😎 as a swf file?

We've found that when published in html5 it is not compatible with all browsers. We want to offer both a flash version and a html5 version but I cant find this publish option.

Hi there

I believe you will discover the path you will need to follow is to carefully create a new project that is not responsive, then copy and paste the assets from the responsive to the non-responsive project. Then you could create a SWF from that.

Note that if you are publishing from a non-responsive project that you are able to choose to publish as both SWF and HTML5 and point folks to the multiscreen, htm page. That page should sniff the browser and direct folks to the SWF version if they are capable of using SWF, and for the HTML5 version if they aren't capable.

Cheers... Rick

Thanks for the reply Rick.

I had a feeling that would be the only option.

We used the responsive template because the main criteria was to have different versions of the course for tablet and phone. This has been successful but left us with the browser issue; I guess you can't have everything.

Thanks for your help
