Published EXE file & documents

Hi all,

I recently published a captivate file as an EXE. The captivate file has buttons in it that when clicked, will open a pdf. document. The problem I am having is that when people are using the exe file on their computer the documentation is not opening for them after clicking it.

Does anybody know what might be stopping the documentation from opening?

Thank you,

Most likely your users do not have the publish folder location set up as a trusted location in Flash Global Security.  The Flash sandboxing is blocking the link to the PDF.

Is there a way for me to turn this feature off when I publish my exe so it doesn't refer to the flash global security?

Or will I have to explain to people how to do it on their own computer?

Both EXE output and interactive PDF are Flash-based, no way to get around that.
