Published project freezing halfway through playing

I am working on a project that branches out from a single slide into 5 different tracks that the user can select in any order. Each track is composed of a demo, practice/training, and an assessment (clicks are included in quiz). At the end of the assessment, the user is asked a MCQ (custom made, not using a Quiz Slide) and they click a smartshape used as a button to choose their answer. This is also scored. Everything seems to be running great until any 4 tracks have been completed and the 5th track is selected. At this point, the project becomes extremely slow. If I am able to make it through to the Assessment and MCQ, this is typically where the project will stop responding. It is always once 4 tracks have been completed and the 5th has been selected. The order of completion doesn't seem to make a difference.

The project is set to report to Moodle (SCORM 1.2) and is published as a .swf.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Why would a project randomly slow and eventually stop midway through?

Update: I am able to complete the project as an end user would, but only very rarely (maybe 1 in 10 attempts?). But something interesting happens... the score that gets reported is only related to the LAST track I completed. The score does not seem to either capture or retain the results from the first 4 assessments.

Some more background info: Once completing all 5 tracks, a Smart Shape appears to bring the user forward, to the quiz results slide and then finally, a slide saying they've completed the module.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
