publishing a Captivate 9 course in Captivate 2017

I have a course that was created in Captivate 9. I now have Captivate 2017 and I am updating the course and trying to publish it.  Everytime I try to run it in our Learning management system, different elements are left out, animation is missing which include having images/text boxes appear on screen. can anyone tell me what I can do besides recreate the whole course?

Do you publish to HTML? If yes, does the server support JSON? That was not necessary in the first version of 9.

is the project working when testing in SCORM cloud?

I am publishing to HTML5 I am actually trying to get it to work in ScormCloud before I send it to the LMS.  ScormCloud is where it isn't working.
