Publishing as Video - Captivate 9

I have created a rather large file, and wish to publish it as a video. The software times out then crashes every time I try to publish it.

I've tried:

  • changing the output settings
  • breaking it into 2 parts
  • saving a new version
  • restarting my computer

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Open your Task Manager in Windows and watch the Performance tab while you attempt to publish this file.

Does the RAM get near to maxing out?  If so, this is probably why Captivate is crashing.  Windows is probably shutting it down to prevent the whole system from going belly up.

I recently had to upgrade my laptop RAM from 8 gig to 16 gig for this reason.
