Publishing Editing Issues

To answer your questions, the PowerPoint updates for words worked. The problem was where the updates added the PowerPoint, at the end not where I placed the indicator box, so I ended up dragging each slide to the appropriate place and it was too time consumming. The audio errors were actually created within Captivate 6. I found the audios for images, text boxes and buttons were the culprates, as I was laying mutilple audio tracks using this feature. (I did this easily with 4)

When I would use the preview- the audios would be fine, but when I published, the audio would duplicate and bleed over onto another slide. I checked timing, and the cptx file was fine but the published version was corrupt. I ended up just timing the entire slide, which is much more difficult and time consumming.

I checked the cache files and I do not believe I am getting a new one each time  I save. Thanks for your effort, I am working on module 4.

    Hi !

Firstly, I would request, please use the "Reply" (screenshot below) button at the buttom to reply to any user's post on the same thread, so to keep it a single conversation thread, else this way the scattered conversation would confuse users to offer suggestion.

Now, ideally it should not create a duplicate slide for the updated content from Powerpoint, what may happen is suppose you duplicate a slide in powerpoint and add some more content and delete the original one, on updation, it would add another new slide at the bottom. if you have added new slides to powerpoint, they would be added likewise.

Can you try copying all slides from the current Captivate project onto a New blank project with same resolution and republish that to see if audio is still corrupted?

Can you check the Flash play being used in Publishing Window? Also compare the results with different Web Bowsers.

PS: Would appreciate if you close the other linked threads and continue on a single thread.

    Thanks,

    Anjaneai
