I have 4 motion (FMR) slides that I want to publish into one swf file...is this possible?

    Hi there

It's possible to do but not exactly intuitive.

    1. You publish as Flash 7 to an intermediate folder.
    2. You then carefully replace the FMR animations with their counterparts from teh intermediate folder.
    3. You then publish again (again ensuring Flash 7) to the final folder.

Those steps should achieve a single SWF output.

Thanks to fellow Adobe Community Expert and fellow Adobe Certified Instructor John Daigle for sorting the steps necessary to achieve that!

    Cheers... Rick

Hello back--Thanks so much for your quick response.

I am not certain I understand "intermediate folder" and also "carefully replace with their counterparts?"

    Sorry...I am not following fully.

    Hi again

Okay, you have FMR now, right? So you publish and it all ends up in a folder on your hard drive. But you get separate clips for each FMR.

You want a single SWF with the FMR as part of that.

You publish once to a folder you don't care about. You do this just so you can get the FMR clips that Captivate churned out. You then edit the original movie and REMOVE the existing FMR clips from the slides. You replace them with their doppelgängers that Captivate created. (trust me, they are different and that's why we are doing this little exercise).

Now you publish again to the folder where the final version of your Captivate appears.

    That better? Hope so... Rick
