Publishing to Connect server

Is the default when publishing in Connect to "Upload source presentation with assets"?

Some individuals delete their original PP files from their computers and if this is the default, then there might be a backup for them to download.

I believe this is the default (I always seem to have to un-check it when I'm trying to publish quickly), so the source files should be on the server if the users made the decision to delete them locally.
