Question

Publishing with AC2 to create 1 flash file

I am working with a CMS that can work well with flash files individually. They tend to be rendered just fine (therefore I get to bypass the html export). Upon trying Adobe Captivate 2, the publish feature creates 2 flash files (and others, but later on that) - one for the skin, one for the content. Is there some way to get AC2 to publish the skin and content into one file? Or am I going to have to do that in Flash 8?

If i am correct, then all you are asking for an option in Adobe Captivate 2, for generating only one SWF and not the _skin.swf file. Go to Project --> Skin --> Borders. Deselect the Show Borders option. Republish the file.

Thanks

I'm going to cut through everything I don't understand and focus on your next-to-last sentence:
quote:

"Is there some way to get AC2 to publish the skin and content into one file?
If "AC2" means Adobe Captivate 2, you must be asking if you can do away with the SWF generated to support the navigation controls, or more specifically, get it merged into the main SWF output ... and the answer is "No", except to use the original playback controls (from RoboDemo and Captivate 1) instead of the skins that are new with Captivate 2.0.

If I'm missing your question, can you please define the following, then restate your question:
"CMS" (content management system?)
"AC2" (Adobe Captivate 2?)

Thanks for taking the time to type wordsinstead of initials in the future. I've been around for years, and am having to "guess" at what your intent is, so you can imagine how many folks might have even less clue than I, and they might also know the answer, if they could understand the question.

Thanks again, and welcome to the Captivate User Community!

Hi CatBandit,
You have been a big help to us over the years, but you seemed a little out of sorts with andklinger. It was a good question and didn't deserve such a snippy answer.
