Question

Qs: toc, button inside a question, apply to all slides

Version: Captivate 4

Q1: Is there a way to hide the TOC menu after you select one slide to go to? Without menually closing the menu, it stays on top.

Q2: I can't figure out a way to add a button whether it's a invisible button or a cutom button in a Quiz > Question Slide. I have a question that needs to link to an external URL. The answer would be inside the webpage the learner needs to explore. Is there a way around this problem?

Q3:I have a text capture with "Page $$cpInfoCurrentSlide-1$$ of $$rdinfoSlideCount$$" to show the curent page and total page. I'd like to apply the changes to all the slides in the course, but "Apply to all" on "Which Sides?" does not add the same text box to the rest of the project slides. Anything worng?

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

Q1: There is no system variable that can be changed to hide/show the TOC, sorry about that

Q2: it is not possible to add interactive objects such as Text Entry Boxes, buttons, click boxes to the Question slides. Either you look for a workaround by inserting a (short) slide immediately after the question slide to make the navigation possible, or you can construct your own question slides using objects, variables and advanced actions

Q3: You can create this Text Caption on one slide, copy it and paste it to all the other slides at once (select them all in the Filmstrip). In CP4 there is no master slide yet (which is the case in CP5). The 'Apply' functionality you try to use is for changing attributes of objects, cannot be used to duplicate objects.

PS: are you German-speaking? If yes: Guten Morgen!

Thank you for the advice. Good idea on custom quiz. I will do it that way as no result needs to be recorded. I don't speak German, but Guten Morgen to you too.
