Question

quality of pictures on slides

Hello community!

When I insert a picture (png, jpeg) on a slide the quality is rather bad. I can barely see the script. After export as a videofile, the quality of the picture is suddenly very good. Why is there such kind of difference? I want to see, what I get :-). Is it possible?

Sincerly

Thomas

    Hi Lilybiri!

Thx for your answer. I found a lot of colours. But maybe you are right, that if its too bright its too tiring for the eyes.

Can you post a screenshot, have problems with your terminology: what do you mean by 'script'?

There is a big difference between JPEG and PNG. First is lossy and can have several quality levels, doesn't support any transparency, PNG is lossless and supports alpha channel.

Did you resize the image after inserting it on a slide? What is the version you are using, and what is the slide quality? Do you use Compression settings when published?

    Added pictures in order:

first picture: The quality is bad  - can´t read the label of the graphic

second picture: Export as a video file

third picture: now the graphic is very good

I cannot see the zoom percentage of the stage image. You are not exporting to video but to SWF, from what I see on the second screenshot.

The result is great after publishing.  You probably will see the same result when Previewing in Browser.

I still don't know if the image is inserted with its original resolution (size in px) or if you did resize it in Captivate which may result in lowering the quality in edit view.
