Question about Captivate trial

Downloaded the latest trial version in order to show my company that this is a worthwhile expense. IF they choose to purchase it will be through corporate on a new license and not an upgrade on current trial license. Will I still be able to access/use files published using the trial version?

You will have to republish the files. When you access the raw cptx-files with a licensed version, you'll be able to publish them without any time restrictions on the published file.

BTW a licensed version is not an upgrade to a trial version. The trial version is fully functional.
