Question - Closing the project

Here's me thinking that i had everything sorted . . . i have another two issues that have cropped up.

Firstly when i set up a button to close the project that is currently running, i click it and nothing happens.  I have it set up as "Execute Advanced Action" with rdcmndExit set as a literal (1).  I click it a thousand times but Nada.  I've tried it in the preview in Captivate, on the HTML file and on the LMS that we have but still it doesn't work.

Any reason as to why?  The only thing that i could think of is that it doesn't open up in a new dedicated window in my browser or anything like that so maybe that could be it.  I tried to counteract that by putting in the function of having it redirect to our company home page but still no joy there as that wouldn't work either.  I even tried putting in a Javascipt 'Back' function but that didn't work.

I've had a very long day in work . . . help?

Thanks,

Ian

    Hello Ian,

You might want to view this short demo on how you could probably achieve your wish.

Haven't tried it myself, but I hope it'll work with you.

    Thanks for the help guys...

In the end, I just had it link to a webpage on our site which says, "Thank you, you have logged out of this course etc. etc"

    Regards,

    Ian

The Close button will not work in most browsers due to security restrictions.

It's only really useful when you output the project to EXE format.  Then it will work.
