Question pool reporting?

Is it possible to build a quiz from several pools and have it report both the overall score and the score for each question pool?

I need to be able to report:

1) Overall percentage score for the quiz.

2) If one question from each pool was answered correctly or not.

As Rajeev points out, no problem with the first topic.

As for the second question: this will not be possible out of the box, you'll need some actions/variables. It also depends on the LMS if user variables can be reported. Can you give some more details of what you exactly want to report: is a "0" sufficient to report that no question in a specific question pool was answered correctly, and "1" if at least one answer was OK?

I hope you are aware of the fact that when inserting a random slide, you have to indicate the question pool. It is not possible to point to several question pools with the same random slide. Not sure, but my intuition tells me that perhaps this was not clear?

    Hi Lilibiri/Rajeev,

Thanks for your help & sorry I should have been more clear:

I do not have a problem with creating a quiz from multiple question pools only with having it report both an overall percentage AND a score for each pool.

LMS to be used is Moodle 2.xx

As you have correctly identified Lilibiri a 0 to indicate no correct question pool results and a 1 to indicate at least one correct question would be perfect.

The overall story is I am trying to develop a quiz which will meet the requirements of 2 regulatory bodies: one requiring a 75% pass mark and the other requiring demonstration of knowledge of particular topics - but both using the same subject matter. The idea is that the quiz will be built up of pools each representing a particular required topic and will report on success in that topic, but will also provide a % overall mark for the other regulator.

    Thanks again for your help

    Steve

Scores for individual topics will not be possible if you don't create them in separate files. And I'm not sure at all if you can report values of user variables to Moodle, have never used that LMS.

It is possible to build a quiz from multiple questions pools and you may also report the data as overall score. I didn't get your second question.

    Regards,

    Rajeev.
