Questions about internal server

Hi--

Can someone please give me some details about the Internal Server reporting option works?

  1. Does this option only save data at the end of the course?
  2. What happens if someone leaves the course midway through and comes back? Will any data be saved or do people need to take courses all the way through without stopping?
  3. Is there any harm in my editing the internalServerReporting.php file to save data to my database instead of filling up the server with XML files?
  4. Is there any documentation on the saved data?

I'm using Captivate 9 if that helps at all.

    To answer some of my own questions:

    1. Yes
    2. Quitting and coming back means starting over. I'm going to trigger a javascript on each slide or at certain points to track progress and use that to reload when users come back.
    3. Nope.

    I could still really use some documentation on this. The internal server option documentation is curiously vague.
