Question

Quiz - Correct message & navigation

When a user submits the correct answer, is there a way to remove the ability of the user to click anywhere or press 'y' to continue? I don't want to just remove the wording of the correct message, I want to remove the ability to click anywhere or press y to continue.

    Hi Jay,

It would help if you explained what you want to achieve, instead of just saying '....remove the ability'. The second step in that submitting process (which is the Y or click anywhere) is the most important, because it will trigger the execution of the actions On Success/Last Attempt and release the pause. Lilybiri,

Actually, I was reading  your blog, http://blog.lilybiri.com/reset-knowledge-slide, and trying to follow the steps to create my own sample Captivate file.

In my sample, it takes two clicks to reset each question slide. The first click is in response to the "click anywhere or press 'y' to continue" message and the click doesn't do anything except make the success or failure caption disappear. Then the user has to click a second time, either clicking the Reset button to reset the slide or NEXT to navigate to the next slide. I want users to be able to just click once on the RESET button to reset the slide. When they want to navigate to the next slide they should only have to click the NEXT button just once.

Another question: What is the purpose of the CLEAR button? It doesn't seem to do anything.

Jay, I did write ' after the submit process ' in my blog post. The submit process ends when clicking on the slide or press Y. If you want to have a one-step process, you need to read the link about question slides that I posted in my first answer.

Clear is meant to clear answers before submitting. That has not much sense for questions with radio buttons, but is useful for the other types of questions.
