Quiz - Insert a character into a TEB just by clicking

Hi everyone, very much a Captivate amateur here. We are just beginning to take web-based modules and move them into Captivate courses hosted on Captivate Prime.

I'd like to create a quiz element that allows a learner to insert a punctuation mark into a sentence in a TEB simply by clicking. For example:

Learners are presented with an English-language sentence with an introductory phrase without the requisite comma. The learner is asked to insert a comma where needed. The learner clicks in the space after the introductory phrase and a comma is inserted. A comma should be inserted wherever the learner clicks, even if it is not the correct spot.

The same kind of thing could be done for an interrogative sentence in Spanish that is missing the opening inverted question mark.

We have done this on a webpage using JavaScript but I'd like to do the same thing in Captivate (2017). Is this possible? Can anyone provide some guidance on how this would be accomplished?
