Hi,

I am an Adobe Captivate 5 user and I am experiencing some issues with quizez published as exe files.

The quiz has:

  • 30 graded questions selected random
  • 3 questions pools

I published as exe file with various settings:

  • quality: high, medium, low
  • Flash verions: 9, 10

I've runned the quiz on several computers, all with the latests version of flash player, but every time the same thing happens: After I submit an answer to a question (it wasn't the same in all tests) and the next question appears it turns grey, automaticaly selects an answer and doesn't let me do anything. All I can do is close and open again.

Any thoughts on this? I will be happy to offer more details if needed.

Thanks,

Dragos

Try moving all of your questions OUT of the question pools and back into the main slide area.  Then publish again to EXE and test.

I have a hunch that Question Pools are not supported in EXE output.

Not sure about the last statement. Having 3 questions pools I succed in opening the exe, get passed the first pool, the second one and after that it freezez (during the second pool or somewhere during the third pool).

OK.  Maybe I'm thinking about PDF's then.  I'm sure one of the outputs didn't support Question Pools.

Anyway, if you're getting that far into the course quiz then the issue might be one of the quiz slides.

Try hiding some of the quiz slides in that second or third pool to see if you can use a process of elimination to find the one/s that are tripping Captivate up.  It could be a corrupt slide or some element on the slide.
