Quiz Score Reporting

Hi everybody,

Well, I finished developing my first two classes, but now I need info on how to get the test scores.  Do I have to have an LMS for this?  There's a place in Quiz Preferences, Reporting that lists all kinds of info regarding an LMS, so this is why I'm thinking I have to have an LMS for this.  But then again, when I go into Pass or Fail, it says "If Passing Grade", and you can put the Action as being Send email to.  When I tried that and took the quiz, at the end of the quiz, it gave me the score and then opened up my Outlook, but the only thing on the new email form was my email address in the To field and nothing else.  No subject, no scores, no email body.  Is there a place where I can set up a form to email?

Also, how does Captivate know who is taking the class and quiz?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Warmly, Terri

Hi Terri

An LMS would serve the captivate to the learner after they logged into the LMS. So that's how you would know who did what and how they fared.

E-Mail reporting is dreadfully fraught with all manner of issues and fails way more than it ever works. So using an LMS is the best way to fly if you are able.

Cheers... Rick

Any idea what the cheapest LMS out there is?  Or what LMS' would you recommend for a company of 1,500 users?  Thanks.

This is so cool.  I joined Lynda.com back in September and learned this today.  This is the Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer.  I used acrobat.com to gather the test results.  Plus, you can download them as a csv file.  Here is a snapshop of the Captivate Quiz Results Analyzer.
