Quiz time limit - Flash server reporting

I'm publishing flash for server reporting.

I need to limit the quiz elapsed time to 60 minutes and show the total elapsed time on each question slide.

If time limit is exceeded I then need a submit action/dialogue.

Option to edit the "on enter" action on a quiz slide in captivate 9 is greyed out on each quiz slide, so I can't use an advanced action.  Shouldn't I be able to have advanced actions available on quiz slides?

Are those normal question slides or random question slides. Normal Question slides have an On Enter event that you can use to trigger an advanced/shared actions. The On Exit event is not available.

As for showing the time have a look at:

Display Time information - Captivate blog

You could use the Timer or the Hourglass interaction to set a time limit. They allow to jump to another slide (for your message) when the allowed time is exceeded.
