Quizzes help...

Hello,

I have 2 different quizzes that I have created. Both are out of 10.

I have unchecked "branch aware" but its still calculating total points of 20 in the last quiz. I am using this (on 2 separate slides) to show results Basically, the second results page is calculating BOTH pages:

Why is it doing this and how do I get it to work correctly?

Secondly, when I look at my "Branching View" it only shows 18 of 39 slides ???

Any assistance would be highly appreciated

Thank you.

It is a SCORM requirement that each SCO file can have only one Quiz. The quizzing system variables are normally fixed if you uncheck Branch aware. That means that all the scored objects will be taken into account (you can find them in the Advanced Interaction panel - F9).

If you need to report the results of both quizzes, you'll need two files, two SCO's. If you only want to show the individual results of both quizzes to the user, you can use advanced actions and calculate both total scores using user variables, and adding the value in the system variable cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored to the partial score after each question slide. As for the Branching view, maybe you have to expand groups? It will show all slides normally.

Thank you very much for your super quick reply!

I thought "branch aware" meant it would score quizzes in each branch separately..good to know. Thank you.

Are you aware of a list of system variables and what they do in CP9? I found some lists with a google search but they are <= CP5.

Also, do you have courses on your learning site for advanced captivate 9 users? I have seen some pretty amazing things that CP9 can do by watching youtube videos and attending a few free webinars from Dr.Partridge and Pooja from Adobe and would like to expand my knowledge with the program further.

Thank again.
