Quizzes on the same project

Hi Folks!

Thank you in advance for your time and support to help me. I'm struggling with some limitations and lack of enough knowledge into Captivate, so...

NEEDS

  • I should keep just one Project of Captivate with the 5,000 questions distributed into 15 pools.
  • Each Quiz is loading different quantities of questions from different pools.
  • The user can at the beginning choose the Quiz want to do – different paths (ways) inside of the project.
  • In the end of Quiz, in the slide of Results, the ‘max-score’ can not be the total of Quiz slides, the same to ‘total-questions’. These variables have to show the quantity of the specific Quiz the user has choose at the beginning.

LIMITATIONS

  • Captivate Classic version is 11.8.3.8 in English.
  • I have a server limitation to do the backup with 250,000 files, no more.
  • And I need to design a solution easy to be kept in the future by myself.
  • I’m using xAPI with LRS (GrassBlade).

You seemed to post different requirements in a separate post. This one is 5,000 questions; the other one was 3,000...  I responded in the other thread and do not want to attempt to duplicate efforts, among other concerns.

 

I will say that you can not have multiple quiz paths in a single Captivate file. While you can have random questions which pull questions from pools of questions; you cannot have a user select paths that presents a quiz of questions completely differently (e.g. Path A displays 5 questions from pool 1 and 5 questions from pool 2; while Path B displays 5 questions from pool 3 and 5 questions from pool 4).

It is a real distinct requirement: create differents paths of pool questions / tests to be choosed by the student.

 

So, if I have understood correctly your explanation in the second paragraph, I'm not able to create this 'big' test, with 'differents' paths with distinct quantity of questions from any pools, and report the stats appropriately on the 'Results Slide'. That's it?

 

The problem is the quantity of files that Captivate generate with different projects when published. Nowadays, I have 215,000 files of Captivate on the server and, with a limitation of 250,000 to backup runs appropriately. So, the idea was to have one or two Captivate's projects with distinct paths to avoid more files on the server.
