Question

Quizzing spread sporadically through project

I'm creating a Captivate 4 lesson that uses question slides mixed into the project. After watching a few slides, the user answers a quiz question. If successfully answered, the project continues. If answered incorrectly, I'm trying to branch the project back to the beginning of that section for the student to redo those few slides before attempting to answer the question again. The process repeats itself throughout the lesson.

No matter what settings I set, failing to answer the question correctly doesn't result in the lesson branching back to the beginning of that section.

Any help appreciated!

I know this could be bit much for you application, but you could also create a variable and use that variable to show a button.  that button would enable the user to skip forward, but would only be shown after a number of attempts.  It would eliminate the need for addtional question or content slides.  You could then set to infinate attempts and you are all set.  You can allow the user to tap out after what ever number of attempts you like, you could even call that variables value somewhere at the end to indicate that some sections were skipped...

Just a thought.

Hello,

Just tried this out: could you check the Quiz Settings (under menu Quiz, Preferences). In the default settings the option 'Allow backward movement' is deactivated. This causes not only the button Back to disappear, but there will be no way to jump to another slide before the question slide either. If you activate this option ''Allow backward movement' the 'jump to slide X', that you attributed to the wrong answer, will be executed.

Hope this works for you too,

I guess you would have already tried this, but still, just to be sure, Have you tried setting the Action under If wrong Answer in question slide properties for the question. For example, If you want to jump from a question slide to slide 4, then in the question slide properties, go to Options. Then under if wrong answer, select Jump to slide, and select Slide 4.

Have you already tried this?

Cheers!

t800v100: I have tried this, but it still won't jump backwards.

Lilybiri: I think I've tried enable the backwards button, but with no success. I'll try again tomorrow.

Thanks to you both!
