Question

recorded screen discoloration

Hello, I'm new to using Captivate so I'm still trying to figure out some issues. Right now, I'm dealing with two projects in which the gray-toned application screens have been recorded with a strangely pinkish tint to them (the other colors seem to be fine). I did find a post that spoke of assigning a custom white background color but I tried it and it doesn't seem to have any effect on my screens. Any ideas?

    Hi Chovansky,

Go to the Options menu -> Recording options
Switch to the Full Motion Recording tab
Change the Video Color mode to 32 bit from 16 bit

I am just guessing here that you are using full motion recording, if yes, then the above should solve your problem

    Thanks Dexterous!

Right now I can't get the distortion to happen again in either recording mode ... we have no idea what could have set it off previously. But thanks for the info on the different bit modes. We'll test using both. We're still in the stage of trying to determine our best configuration for recording so all suggestions are truly appreciated.
