Recording Demo, Text caption & Highlight box problems (Captivate 9)

Hi,

I have two problems when recording a Demo and Training (Seems something changes in my preferences because that problems don't appears last week):

1. Add text caption: Now Captivate is always using a text label 'Select' instead of using the labels in the application to describe a step.

2. Add highlight box: Instead of automatically adds a highlight box around the area where the mouse is clicked, now the size of the highlight box is always the same.

    You didn't change the Preferences for Recording?

    Try deleting the Preferences folder, which you can do by using the CleanPreferences file (fitting for your OS) in the subfolder Utils of the Captivate installation folder. The default preferences should then be restored. They definitely will add text in the captions and the highlight boxes will be adapted.

    Or are you capturing in another language?

    Hi,

    Thanks for the answer. I've done it but I continue with the same problem.

    What I detect (doing some extra tests) is that if I do a record using Notepad (Office 2013) then it works. But if I use my company software then I have the same problem.

    Captivate has problems with some types of applications. Do you tell that this didn't happen before with the same software you wanted to capture, or is this the first time?
