Recording Keys Intermittently Stop Working- Captivate 9

Hardware- Windows 10, 16GB RAM, 64-bit OS, Intel i7-2.6Ghz - Captivate v9.0.0.223

Recording Workflow- Slides>Software Simulation>Recording Type=Manual>Settings>Global Key set to any keyboard entry such as INS or Home.

Application Walk-thru of Problem-  Using Captivate to record a corporate level program founded on the shared windows files and .net.  Navigating through the program which uses data entry fields, drop down windows, radio buttons, etc. after a few snapshots the recording process in captivate stops.  It will not continue again until the other program is closed, then captivate will continue doing snapshots for the slides.  The problem will happen with both manual recording and automatic, where you'll know the snapshop quit working when you no longer hear the snapshot sound.  This problem has surfaced on multiple computers and multiple versions of the program, all using Captivate v9.  Interestingly, earlier in 2017 this problem did not exist, it is only recent as of the past month (November-December 2017).

Troubleshooting-  I see in other forum threads that captivate conflicts with some programs resulting in the recording process breaking in Captivate.  I also see that the global key mapping will only recognize the formal keyboard.

Is this Adobe's only recommendation on a workaround-  Separate the Captivate program from the other program via something like Remote Desktop or Virtual Machine?

For future consideration as an Adobe enhancement-  It would be nice if the Captivate software was more stable and didn't conflict with other programs using windows library files (if that is indeed where the conflict is).

Thinking Out Loud- Would it be beneficial if Captivate could trigger a snapshot from a non-keyboard feature such as a cheap little USB joypad?  As there would rarely be a software program, other than gaming, that would interact with hotkeys from a joystick device.

Please, you are on the very first release of CP9, missed three patches. Can you upgrade ASAP to 9.0.2.437?

    I updated to 9.0.2.437.

Same issue, eventually the snapshot recording/sound will stop while navigating the other program.

It is erratic when it will stop within a few workflow steps, but often stops when using dropdown menus, once it stops the snapshot will not continue until the other program is closed.

Interestingly, when the snapshot is broken, if you hit the home or end button repeatedly, it will store them for when the other program is closed. A flurry of sound will happen with all the slides being created in Captivate.

Are you launching Captivate with Run As Administrator privileges?  If in a corporate environment it's quite common to find that this is not permitted (because most users do not have that level of security access on their own PC) and this can cause Captivate to malfunction during screen capture.
