Recording Remotely with Captivate

Because of the current health crisis, I am working from home rather than going onsite to my healthcare organization. Can you suggest an optimum process utilizing Captivate on my computer to record screens on a remote computer; specifically I would be recording an user demonstrating a workflow in our organization's electronic medical record system? Thanks much!

To maintain workflow health while working remotely, you can effectively use Adobe Captivate to record screens on a remote computer by combining it with remote access tools. First, ensure you have a secure and stable connection to the remote computer using tools like VPN and remote desktop software (e.g., TeamViewer or Microsoft Remote Desktop). Open Captivate on your local machine, select “Software Simulation,” and start the recording while the user demonstrates the workflow on the remote system. For optimal results, minimize any screen lag and coordinate with the user to ensure smooth transitions during the recording. This process should preserve the quality and clarity of the demonstration.

I was able to get around this by having the SME remote into my computer (which has Captivate installed) using Bomgar; opened the EHR & we conversed using Skype during the recording process. One  weird thing was we had to set Windows @ 100%; if we didn''t the "click areas" were way off!
