Recover lost Captivate 9 project from automatic computer restart

I am hoping that someone can help me... I was in the midst of working on a Captivate 9 project when my computer did an automatic update and restarted. It appears that I have lost the project that I was working on. Unlike Microsoft Word and some other programs that save draft versions and make them available when you reopen the program, Captivate doesn't appear to do that. There has to be a cached version of my project somewhere on my computer, right? How can I find it?

First thing to do is to activate the Backup option. Go into Preferences, and you'll see that option. on the first screen. Those backups will be stored in the normal Documents folder, which is indicated on that same screen next to 'Publish at'.

Cache folder is indicated there as well, if you didn't change the default folder it is the one pointed at by StevePixel. Beware: names of the folders in the cache are cryptic, you have to refer to the date of the folder. When you zip the cache folder, and change the extension to cptx,  you'll have another backup.
