Reduce SCORM size

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to reduce the file size of SWF files inside a SCORM file to under 1MB. These SWF files usually only have minimal slides, images, and audio. Is there a way somehow to cut up the SWF file (outside of captivate maybe by using another program) and then patch it together in smaller bits back into the SCORM file? Just curious if anyone else has needed to come up with a solution for something like this. Unfortunately, I don't have the option of just upgrading the equipment the learners view the content on. Thanks in advance for any help or direction given!

Less than 1MB? You'll have to forget about audio totally. Keep images as

small as possible, create them at the needed resolution. Even then will be

tough.

Thanks, Lilybiri. The entire SCORM file can be much larger than 1 MB. Each file within the SCORM can be no larger than 1 MB. I know it's possible to create SCORMs within these ramifications because we have vendors do it for us...but I'm not sure if it is possible using Captivate. And I was just curious if there was any way to slice up or daisy chain the swf file after it's been zipped into a SCORM. Thanks, again!

Almost any Captivate project would have an SWF file larger than 1 megabyte. And if publishing to HTML5, there may still be files larger than 1 meg depending on how big your course is and whether or not it contains much audio or any video. Even without audio or video, longish HTML5 courses would likely have a CPM.js file that is larger than 1 meg. That's just the nature of this multimedia e-learning medium.
