Regarding videos and loading times

Hello community!

I currently upload my courses on a Moodle platform.

I use a animated teacher to minister the content and interact with my student.

That character is and flv. video. The thing is, sometimes when when my students

watch their online course, they experiene some problems like delays with the videos.

- I noticed that when i publish my project, Captivate creates a zip with all the

videos in it. My students acess the html file to open it. Is there a way to publish a single file, so that the students are forced to download the hole course (including the videos)

beforehand? That way they would have to wait for it and wouldn't experience what seems to be a streaming issue...

- Is there any similar solution or case that you guys could share with me?

- I also tought that this could have something to do with the moodle configurations, so if someone thinks that please let me know.

Sorry for any poor communication and thanks in advance!

Correct answer RodWard

Your issue is likely due to your students not having excellent bandwidth to view the content.

You can try setting your preloader to 100% so that all content in the course is downloaded before playback begins.  But this may not be a perfect solution.

I see.

I already marked the 100%!

I'll try to optimize better the file size of my content in the next Project.

Thanks Rod!
