Reinstalling Encoder that came with Captivate

I have captivate 9 which came with encoder cs6.  My IT department is saying that encoder is causing a security alert during scans so they want to remove and reinstall it.  When i check my product downloads section, I only see a download for captivate - the encoder application is not listed separately.  Can they install the cc version of encoder individually to work with 9 or will i have to remove and reinstall captivate itself?   I am not sure if there was a specific reason why captivate came with the cs6 version.
