Hi Guys,

How can I remove the Adobe Captivate logo that pops up before you hit play, and the one below the info in the Info screen?

Cheers
LTC

Don't be shocked if you never get your wish. Flash, Director (Shockwave),
Quicktime, and a whole heap of other products make sure our users see their
logos too. It's normal marketing. No matter how much we hate it, the
corporates will always want to advertise their wares.

Hi again LTC

That is why I suggested completing the Wish Form link. I can't underscore the importance of anyone feeling the same way to fill out that form. It's your avenue back to the development team and doesn't just give you a place to voice issues and it drops into some black hole somewhere. They really do pay attention to what they receive.

We saw the same thing with RoboHelp. Finally, after hearing from enough folks, they built in the ability to change what we see as well as the icon that evokes the screen. But it didn't happen until enough users voiced a desire to have a change.

That's great, thanks.

One more thing, at the bottom of the Info box when it pops up, it has a big Adobe Captivate logo. How do I remove that?

Hi again LTC

Unfortunately, the short answer here is a flat 'You can't'. At least not from Captivate as it stands. It's something that if enough of you out there ask for, we might see changed. To do that, click here and complete the form you should find there.

Now, if you have Flash skills, there is a way. I've seen it done by fellow Adobe Community Expert Paul Dewhurst. But it requires using Flash or Swish to modify some of the files in use.

Hi All

Long time no see Rick, me, not you.

Try the following re the info button:
De-select the info button in your control bar and build in your own info button as a rollover caption or image to display for the whole project. This image or caption can then be loaded with your own wording and/or logos.

Cheers

Hi lordtopcat2 and welcome to our community

I suspect what you are seeing is the standard preloader. To turn it off or to choose a different one, click Edit * Preferences * Project node * Start and End node. To totally turn it off, DE-select the check box. Or, to choose a different preloader or loading screen, click the ellipsis button and choose something different.
