Removing black bar at bottom of each slide

My slides all have a black bar appearing, despite my requesting a blank project.  How do I remove them?

    Blank project does not mean that the master slides are blank at all. Default theme is White. Switch to the Blank theme, using the Big button Themes. I do not like the term Blank project neither. It means a "Normal" project, compared with a responsive or a video demo project. Confusing terminology at the least. Each normal project is based on a theme, as is each responsive project. One of the master slides is always totally blank. It is used for software sims. If you want you can always use that master slide to replace the one you use now.

    Perhaps your current THEME is not Blank.  Try changing the Theme.
