Removing Slides did not reduce project file size...why?

Hi

I am trying to reduce the file size of a project, and have removed a number of slides.  However, when I saved the amended project, the file size was

actually a little more.  Why is this?

For example, original file size 182,336KB  then after removal of a number of slides with objects the file size is 182,916KB ....... ?????

    Try going to the library tab and click the button that looks like a broken link (between the refresh icon and trash can icon).  This will select all your unused library assets.  Next, click the trash can icon to delete, and save the file.
