Reposition Closed Captioning

Is there a way to reposition closed captioned text in Captivate 7?  As most know, in Captivate the normal position for CC text is at the bottom of the page, just above the playbar.  I have the playbar hidden, and it its place have added buttons (on stage) to control the program, including CC text.  Unfortunately the CC text when called covers this area.  Any solutions native to Captivate, or will I need to have a widget written?

As far as I know, you can't move it,  you can only move the playbar. 2 things to consider though. 1) if someone needs to use the buttons behind the CC, they can easily hide the CC temporarily to access the buttons, and if those buttons pause the project, the CC wouldn't be doing anything for them anyway until they pressed the buttons. As long as the CC has some transparency, the user should see those buttons behind the CC. 2) If you are using CC just for accessibility, you can use a Scrolling Text interaction as a way to paste a transcript which you can size quite comfortably (the editor makes it look like you'll get a big blue header, but it's actually just a scrolling text box).

Never tried a scrolling text interaction for CC text.  Sounds like this might be an alternative I need to explore.  Thanks.

You can move the CC with a widget or a simple swf animation. I have also created a custom CC that uses xml to display the CC in a scrolling text box.

I use custom playbar widgets for all of my courses which include the custom cc locationm width, height, clickable progress bars for only the completed portions of the course or any part of the course.

You can easily move the CC in html5 with a little bit of CSS.

CaptivateDev also has a moveable CC widget for sale I believe.
