Resize a text block in 12.5

Question

I recently downloaded 12.5 after using Captivate Classic and am having trouble doing even the most basic of tasks. Is it really not possible to just add a text box that isn't bound to the slide in some way? I want text box on the left third of the slide with an embedded video component on the right 2/3's.

In Captivate Classic i could do this in 10 seconds and I've spent an hour reading guides and watching videos for v12.5. What am I missing?

Hi apgertz, I don't know in which kind of project you worked in Captivate Classic, either Blank or Responsive project, though of course in both your layout could be achieved easily. Captivate 12.+ doesn't have the same flexibility in that respect. Thus a one third / two thirds layout - it's a no no. You have to compromise, but hey, at least on my computer Cp12.+ runs much more stable than Cp11.+ ever did.

Somewhat close to what you want is to use the Slide Video media block and then under DESIGN OPTIONS (Visual Properties) select the Video Design Option 2. Uncheck under COMPONENTS the Card option and check Body and Title (latter it needed). Of course it's more of 50 text/50 video layout, but hey?
