Resizing background file issues in Captivate 9

Hello,

Since I've been told that there's no chat support for Captivate, I'm hoping someone can quickly assist me with this issue.  Myself and a seasoned user of Captivate can't figure out why Captivate resizes image files that are imported as background file for a slide within a project.

We've checked the project slide size and it gives a size (say 1024 x 627) and then I look at the size of the image file used for a given slide whose background I want to replace (it says the same thing), then I delete the background slide and import a new one (it was created in Paint and is 1028 x 771).  If you import the file as a " a background project slide" it automatically changes the image size to a much smaller size and thus doesn't fit the slide page.  If you select "personalize" for the import, the slide initially is it's original size (1028 x 771), but when you "OK" it's modified and reverts to a smaller size (thus still not fitting your slide).

Why is this happening?  Is this normal?  And how can you replace individual backgrounds within a responsive project (where backgrounds where included originally).  It's clear that being able to change the background later if something changes in your project is permitted, but how do you adjust or import to the correct project slide size?

Thanks!!!!

JL
