Responsive design settings

I can't figure out how to setup the different views so that they work for my project.

I would like to have my computer and tablet resolutions the same resolution and both Landscape and my phone setting the be portrait. The idea is to have less information on the phone version. Captivate is very limited in the resolutions you can use for the different devices. It doesn't have the range that current devices have. Is there any way to override some of this?

You might be misunderstanding the purpose of the "break points" or views. These are the points along a whole scale of resolutions where the arrangements of your objects break from one size screen to another. You cannot have two break points be the same resolution. You can set them close but not the same.

If you are designing a responsive design project for an organization, do some research into what size screens are most typical, however know that different resolutions will scale up or down on the width depending on the device. Don't forget that you can set the height as well on the slide properties panel.

Thank you for that. In taking a second look and I think I understand it better. A different way of thinking about design.
