Resume does not remember points for advanced action purposes

Hello - I'm having an issue with getting the correct outcome of an advanced options execution I have set up. It works fine unless a learner exits the quiz before the quiz is complete. If the learner does exit the quiz before it is complete, and then relaunches the course from the LMS, CP5 remembers where they left off and still has those answers selected. Then what happens - if they continue answering the remaining questions and they do pass, they get the passing score reflected on the quiz results page (so that piece remembers they answered the first questions before and then can back/resumed), but the wrong animation plays. The animation that plays is set up with advanced options, where if they score better than "x" it plays one animation and if not, it plays another.  Why does the Quiz result slide remember what questions were answered and give them credit for them, but the advanced action does not?
