retaking a quiz

Once a learner takes a quiz, they can't take it again. They can only see it in review mode. Is there a setting that will allow for multiple stabs at a quiz? Or is this impossible because reporting is enabled so that a project can be uploaded onto an LMS?

Go into Quiz Preferences, Pass or Fail and allow more than 1 attempt on Quiz level, it is right under the option 'If Failing Grade'.

Then allow to  have a Retake button. Be careful: if you both have Review and Retake buttons, most users can be confused. The design of quizzes is that you can only Review after all attempts are exhausted. If a user clicks the Review button, even though he had still attempts left on Quiz level, all attempts will be considered over. To avoid such a confusion, I recommend to drag the Review button under the Retake button. More info in these blog posts that are still valid for a great part:
