Question

Reveal answers and text on a question slide

Hello again,

I'm new to Captivate 9 and enjoying working on it.

I'm creating a multiple choice question, where there are 6 answers and 3 are correct.

After 1 attempt at the question, either success or failure, I'd like to reveal extra text next to the 3 of the answers and the actual answers too.

I would also like to know how to reveal the answers for a true/false and matching question, without the extra text.

How do can i do that?

Thank you for your kind support!

Cheers,

Ling Ling

The quiz design gives you that functionality automatically if you allow the Review option (Quiz Preferences). The correct and given answers will show up during Review. This will not be immediately after each question slide, but after finishing the quiz, by clicking on the Review button in the Score slide. Beware: Review should be taken only after exhaustion of all Attempts on Quiz level (see Quiz Preferences). For that reason I mostly recommend, if you allow multiple attempts on quiz level, to drag the Retake button (starts a new attempt) over the Review button on the score slide. More details:

This article is fully valid for versions before captivate 9. In CP9 the confusion between Next and Skip button no longer exists (as described in the article) because there are dedicated Next/Back buttons during review (the double arrow buttons that you can see in the master slides for questions).
