Round tripping between Illustrator and Captivate

I have an Illustrator file that used layers, where one of the layers is, about, 50% transparent.  I want to use the Illustrator file/image in my Captivate project.  I can't reproduce the Illustrator file in Captivate, because Captivate does not have the same tools and seetings. I can save the Illustrator file as an SVG file and insert it into captivate but all of the transparency setting seem to be lost. 

Is there any way that I can use the Illustrator file in Captivate and keep the settings set up in Illustrator?

    Roundtripping is limited to SVG's. Another approach is to import the AI file as smart object in Photoshop and use the Roundtripping with Photoshop, which has more features.
