Saving a Project

After changing the zoom, the asterisk appears after the filename on the project tab. Does changing the zoom really change the file?

Don't bother too much about that, it appears immediately when you change something, even the zoom percentage in editing mode. Just ignore it.

You can log a bug, I don't bother about that type of bugs a lot because it is just annoying.
